Ronald J. Cooke (b. 1913), was a Montreal author, editor and publisher. His first two novels, The House on Craig Street (1949) and The Mayor of Côte St. Paul (1950), both paperback originals, were among earliest publications from young upstart Harlequin Books. They were followed by a children’s novel, Algonquin Adventure (1958), and The House on Dorchester Street (1979). He was editor and publisher of Canadian Writer’s Journal.
