Eric Dupont

Born in Amqui, Quebec, Eric Dupont studied at Carleton University, the Free University of Berlin, the Université de Montréal and the University of Toronto. Dupont’s La fiancée américaine, released in 2012, won the Prix des libraires du Québec and the Prix littéraire des collégiens. Its English translation, Songs for the Cold of Heart, translated by Peter McCambridge, was a finalist for the Scotiabank Giller Prize in 2018 and subsequently published by HarperCollins outside of Canada as The American Fiancée. Eric Dupont lives in Montreal.
