Amanda Merritt
Amanda Merritt is a Canadian poet from the West coast. Her debut collection The Divining Pool was shortlisted for the 2018 Gerald Lampert Memorial award. In 2020 Amanda was long-listed for the CBC and Pacific Spirit Poetry Prizes. She was honoured to be among Aesthetica’s 2017 annual creative writing finalists, and to have won the 2015 Anstruther Poetry Award. She was also short-listed for the Malahat Review’s 2014 Open Season award and will appear in the 2025 Best Canadian Poetry annual. Her poetry is published in American, UK, and Canadian journals such as the Literary Review of Canada, Stand, and The Threepeny Review.
