Connie Barnes Rose Connie Barnes Rose was born and raised in Amherst, Nova Scotia. She earned her MA in Creative Writing at Concordia University and is now living in Montreal. Her first book, Getting Out of Town, was published by Cormorant Books in 1997. This collection of short stories deals with growing up in a small town and the conflicting desires to stay and to leave. Connie Barnes Rose was a finalist for the QSPELL Award for Fiction and was shortlisted for the Dartmouth Book and Writing Award in 1997. |
